KOMPAS-3D, starting from version v22, and the ASCON SOLUTION PACKAGE, starting from version 22.3, use the Guardant licensing system from the AKTIVE company. (The ability to work with Sentinel HASP for these versions will be retained) Licenses are placed on software and hardware keys.

For the Guardant DL software key and the Guardant Sign hardware key to work locally (the key is located on the same PC where the protected application is running), the installation of a license manager is not required (including for temporary trial licenses). The Guardant DL software key works in virtual machines (VMs), but at the same time, the license for this key itself may have a restriction on use in a VM (The KOMPAS-3D trial license does not work in a VM)

The hardware key is not linked to the hardware parameters in any way and can be physically transferred to another computer without any additional manipulations. license information is stored in the permanent non-volatile memory of the hardware key.

2. License Manager of the Guardant Control Center
To transfer network licenses to workstations on the local network, the Guardant Control Center (hereinafter referred to as GCC) must be installed on the license server
